“Heneral Luna” Pays Courtesy Call on PCGNY, Talks Patriotism and Democracy

NEW YORK -- Heneral Luna star John Arcilla paid a courtesy call on Consul General Mario De Leon, Jr. last 11 November, in between the actor’s meet and greet visits in New York and New Jersey theatres showing the historical biopic of General Antonio Luna, highlighting his heroism during the Philippine-American War. Heneral Luna is the Philippines’ entry to the Foreign Language Film Category at the Academy Awards.

Homecoming sa Konsulado 2015 expands PH alumni network, plans projects with civic relevance

NEW YORK CITY -- Homecoming sa Konsulado continues to gain a bigger following as this year’s activity drew more than 180 participants representing 17 alumni associations of Philippine schools and universities at the gathering held last November 7 at the Philippine Center’s Kalayaan Hall.

Gabi Ng Parangal 2015: AFTA’s Tribute to Excellence, Leadership and Service

Twenty-five star students, teacher/educators and leaders dazzled and inspired the guests at the Gabi Ng Parangal of the Association of Fil-American Teachers of America, Inc. (AFTA) last November 14, 2015 at Astoria World Manor in Queens, New York. The association gave recognition to them who exemplify excellence, leadership and dedicated service in their respective places of study and work by conferring on them the PERLAS, AFTA-UG, AFTA-LEADS and DTA awards.

The show also displays memorable pictures and news articles defining the artist's milestone, success and achievements in arts. Highlights from this collection include artworks from the 1960’s and Lamberto's award-winning works from the Philippines, Baltimore and New York.
