LeBron on NBA legacy: ‘There isn’t anything I have left to prove’

The NBA’s premiere superstar LeBron James is no doubt, one of the most accomplished players of this era.

Still going strong at 32-years-old - without even a trace of slowing down anytime soon - James has already won three NBA championships, four league MVP’s and has been named an All-Star for 13 straight seasons.

Still, fans and pundits alike have not gone easy on “The King”, and have always wanted to see more out of the Akron, Ohio native.

“What else do I have to prove?” James told Joe Vardon of over the weekend.

“Seriously, what else would I have [to do]?” he said. “I’ve won championships, I won my first one and I’ve won for my teammates, I came home and won. There isn’t anything I have left to prove.”

After winning back-to-back titles with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013, James returned to the Cavs in 2014 and delivered his promise to bring a championship to his home state last year.

His unparalleled greatness on the court has earned him comparisons to perhaps the greatest player to ever lace his sneakers, his “Airness” Michael Jordan.

Currently, James will be heading to his seventh straight Eastern Conference finals, as his team swept the Toronto Raptors in four games.

Cleveland is currently undefeated in post season play, and will be awaiting the winner from the second round series between the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards. - Khristian Ibarrola/
